Founded in 2023 by Goktug Bas, Code Knights is a New Jersey-based nonprofit mentorship organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged students through technology and education. Inspired by the transformative power of mutual learning, Goktug and his team recognized the potential of chess and coding to foster personal and academic growth.

Code Knights offers a free online learning hub where students can connect with experienced mentors, collaborate with peers, and develop essential skills.

We believe that every student deserves an empowering role model and a supportive community. By fostering a culture of collaboration and shared knowledge, we aim to equip students with the tools and confidence they need to succeed. Prospective mentees submit applications through the codeknights.org, providing information about their socioeconomic background, educational status, and any additional challenges they face. codeknights.org verifies this information through collaboration with trusted organizations or by requesting supporting documents to ensure that mentees meet the eligibility criteria for the program.

Needs Assessment and Goal Setting:

Upon enrollment, each mentee undergoes a needs assessment. This assessment helps identify the specific challenges and goals of the mentee, laying the foundation for personalized mentorship plans.
